Aspiring Leadership course for teachers in Havering, Essex, Thurrock and across London

Havering Primary Teaching School will be hosting a leadership development programme, called 'Stepping Up', for aspiring leaders based on a request from local headteachers.

Stepping Up, is a leadership programme designed specifically for middle leaders and members of staff aspiring to middle leadership. The programme focuses on building a deep understanding about leadership and seeks to support delegates in developing the essential competencies, behaviours and attitudes required to lead a team/subject area within an effective school.

Stepping Up aims to:

• Explore the 5 minds of intelligent leadership
• Consider the qualities and characteristics of a high - performimg team
• Support participants in identifying their role in building and sustaining an effective learning organisation
• Introduce a range of organisational systems for building a professional culture around deep intelligence

This is a 3 day programme which will be split over the Spring and Summer terms.

Currently, the cost is £180+ vat per participant. As a Teaching School, we will subsidise the cost of the programme, which will mean that the cost will be reduced to £130 (including VAT) per participant for the full 3 sessions.
